Re-imagining an Early Proposal

By looking at Paul Rudolph’s original schemes for the Yale School of Architecture, the alternative addition to the current Rudolph Hall becomes a distorted echo of the past while providing an architectural language that is much more suited than the actual addition that was erected. The design is theoretical and derived by extrapolating and merging motifs found in Rudolph’s original perspectives, plans, and sections. The result, much like the authentic original scheme, is a form that is reminiscent of its twin yet uniquely distinct.
