Sited in East Marion, NY, “Enfilade House” constructs a space that
mediates between forest, clearing, and water through a series of
layered spaces. The house is conceived as a square volume divided
into 3 equally sized rectangles. All rooms have direct access to
the living room and the back patio, creating multiple enfilade conditions across the entire length of the volume and establishing
a visual connection between both edges of the house. I worked directly with Felipe Correa in conducting foundational research on
canonical American house typologies, and then on the conceptual
designs, drawings, and base models for the renderings of the final
house.
